I was issued a speeding ticket on 9/26/06 for doing a few mph over the limit. Now I am new to California and was suprised to see that the amount you owe is not posted right on the ticket and you are acutally sent a notice of the amount you owe by mail. The two weeks that I was told came and went when I then noticed the ticket was missing my apt # but then again so does my drivers license. I then decided to call the court clerk to let them know of the problem and she said oh that it was not a problem and that the ticket was still valid and would be still valid but because of the apt# missing I should check online for the ticket status. Well I have been doing so daily for the last two weeks and the ticket was yet to be posted. Both the ticket number and my drivers license number pull up no citations. I called the clerk again and she said to simply just appear to court the day my ticket was due. So I am going to show up the 26th but i wanted to know does anyone has any idea whats going on

The thing I guess I am asking is this, almost a month has gone by and no citation is present under my license. According the the lasupiriorcourt website I was never giving a ticket. I have to go into court simply to show them I made an effort to show up. So does anyone know if police only have so long to post a ticket. Like if I go in on the 26th and they run my license and no ticket is present, what are the outcomes. Does the ticket get thrown out or am I told to wait longer?

You will not show up on-line until a disposition has occurred in your case, either Failure to Appear or Fine paid. I recently received an e-mail that stated that when you pay your ticket by mail, send in about two dollars more than the cost, that way the system will automatically send you a refund check for the two dollars, don't cash it and you will never be placed in the system as having gotten a ticket, because there is no final disposition.

Sometimes it takes several weeks before people update bureaucratic websites but the bottom line is this:
You were issued a summons, you will pay the fine or dispute the summons and hope for a dismissal, or you will ignore the summons and later you will be arrested and your vehicle will be impounded, you will spend 3 times the amount of the summons and have a higher insurance rate.
Pay the summons, make several copies of the receipt of payment and the disposition of the court. Keep one copy in the glove compartment, one copy at home and give one copy to a family member or your attorney if you have one. People just don't do their jobs right and you may have to prove your innocence later on. Especially in California.

look at the back of the ticket it will say on there or the officer told you that you should get something in the mail but might not and not getting it is no reason not to show up in court. oh by the way you need to put your appartment number on your drivers licence because as of right now your address is incorrect and you can get a ticket for that to.

You will want to show up in court and do the right thing. You might get picked up again and then you might go to jaul or then might even issue a warrant for your arrest. But I know you don't want nothing like this on your record. So, I would just show up, that way you will have it done and over with and you won't have to worry about a thing. Godd luck to you and God Bless.

It shouldn't appear on your record because you haven't plead guilty to the offense yet. Usually paying the fine is seen as an admission of guilt. I would go to your court date and get everything fixed. It would be much better for you to show up and have them tell you that you owe nothing, than not to show up and have a warrent for your arrest.

i imagine who ever is calling the different to flow out, might want to be the single to pay and one might want to definately no longer alway being paying. I certainly does no longer mooch off someone each and every of the time, nor do I somewhat have that expectation I hate the actual incontrovertible truth that in basic terms bc you are able to earn a larger paycheck, ability you're the breadwinner. places truly some rigidity on the breadwinner and deflates the ego of the different persons efforts.

To avoid future problems, just appear in court and get this matter settled once and for all.

It's a clerical error, nothing more. Show up in court and get it settled. If you don't, then you are in violation and if you get stopped again you may be arrested.
