no the aztec has lots of troubles ac condenser and radiator problems are common the plastic is of very poor quality the bottom tailgate fractures under the weight of a child[70 lbs ] the access to the engine for normal service is lousy and these things are butt ugly also they have been plagued with electrical gremlins. wiper radio heater and fuel injection don't walk away RUN !!! i hope you don't waste your time and money on this, as there are many crossover AWD's out there that are a whole lot better in every aspect than this illconceived semi-portable[if it is towed] pile of rubbish

I have only heard BAD things about the Pontiac Aztec. Check out the Ford Escape and the Mazda Tribute. I have owned the mazda for over 4 years now and can't say one thing bad bout it! Test Drive one... you will love the pick up in it. TRUST ME!

I like the Aztec, they were a good vehicle, but ugly to most people.
Since it is a discontinued model, I would probably stay away from it.
The Vibe is good, though somewhat smaller.
The Subaru Forrerster & Outbacks are nice, Suzuki Grand Vitara is OK.
It really depends on what passenger capacity you need/want.

depends most pontiac vehicles are pretty good cars as far as the aztec i have heard from several people that they liked the ones that they had they never really had any problems with them

Would you actually consider being SEEN driving an Aztek? This is the second ugliest vehicle ever puked out of GM design and I find it hard to believe anyone would ever pay to own one.
Who cares if it is good? Sheeeze.....
