The actual procedure does not hurt, but there is usually a little pain the next day. However, it is minor and can usually be treated with over the counter pain meds.

This is what I consider the least painful procedure. If you are properly number, you wont feel a thing and they are completed pretty quickly. As for the shot, a skilled dentist can give you a shot so gently that you will hardly feel anything.
Dont worry about getting it filled, and on the off chance that you do have any pain be sure to let the dentist know asap.

Well the needle will hurt a little bit but it will go away fast, then after u get the needle u wont feel a thing :). They only give u a needle because it will stop u from discomfort from the drill they use. Dont worry. The drill might sound scary but its the littlest thing ever lol. but thats about it. There shouldn't bee much pain from the needle anyways. And it goes by soo fast, a cavity is easy to get done. :) hope this helps

depends on how deep it is and on which tooth it is.
if its on the incisors or canines, most properbly it wont because the dentist will be using composite filling which does not require a lot of drilling unless the cavity is really deep.
however if it on the molars and premolars, the drilling might cause sensitivity in some individuals and if the cavity is deep and near the pulp(nerve) it will most likely be uncomfortable.

Not too bad - I had a cavity on my top wisdom tooth done last week - the worst part was the pulling on my mouth to get to it. Its just a really strange feeling when they start everything. They give the shot first (which really doesnt hurt too bad either).

If, they not numb it first, it will hurt. The needle to numb it not hurt much either as most spray this numbing spray then stick the needle. The spray not taste real good, but, it keep pain down. If, they drill it not taste too good either, but, it not hurt, if the Dentist know what he doing.

dentists will numb you first. the shot they use doesnt feel too good but it goes away pretty quickly. After that theres not really pain but you can feel the pressure of the dentist doing stuff to your teeth, and they will most likely have to drill which is more annoying than painful.
