I mean sex annonymous is just a meat farm of mostly old, burnt-out men who can't find any anymore. So there's no help coming from there.

Definitely look for a therapist that deals specifically with SA. Try doing some research online and see what you can come up with. As I have been on the other side of SA, I have some links that may help. One of them has a self test, I believe it's the one put together by Dr. Patrick Carnes. Another has a list of cities and states where you can find meetings. You may even be able to find online meetings. They aren't all going to be "a meat farm of burnt out men". A sponsor might help, too.

Best of luck to you.

You need to find a therapist that specializes in sexual addictions and work one on one with them.. You have a better chance of working through your problems with a professional, rather then a bunch of people together who mainly whine about their own problems. (Its mainly a tactic to make you feel guilty about what you do in an attempt to stop it) Like you said, many people in those support groups do not have pure intentions, and can do more harm and set you back in your recovery. If this is a real problem for you, go to a professional..

BTW...if it is a meat-market for old- burnt out men.. don't you think you have less of a chance of hooking up with one of them if you view them that way? It sounds like you are disappointed they are not young, vibrant men.
