I've read several questions here today -- question where people are expressing frustration because they discovered that the bible is scientifically inaccurate. (At least you are smart enough to read it AND check it out.)

People --- what did you expect?

The bible was edited and compiled in 325-AD by a PAGAN Roman Emperor, Constantine. He and the Council of Nicaea even wrote parts of the bible. But, understand this point -- he was a Pagan Roman Emperor and ALL Roman Emperors thought they were gods. He did, so did those before him, and so did his sons who followed in his rule.

The bible was compiled, edited and partially written by a pagan, and in that Council, over 200 books of the bible were also considered and THROWN OUT. The bible is not only incomplete, it was put together by a pagan.

That is like buying a car built by a hairdresser.

Why would you expect anything from the bible, other than what it really is -- full of errors, inaccuracies and self-contradictions

just a reminder for some of you who have difficulty with logic and intelligence: you cannot use something to prove itself. for example, you could never take the book DaVinci Code and simply say "oh, the DaVinci Code stated this as a fact, so it has to be true, because it said so in the book." Same with the bible. You can't use it to prove itself -- saying something is fact just because it's printed in the bible is as false and misleading as one can possibly get. I just read another mindless comment with "god says so in the bible" -- well, sorry, but that is patently false.

The Authorized Version, aka the King James Version, is the bible taken from the Masoretic text. This is accurate. I agree with you in part - all of the new versions are built on the corrupted manuscripts. The Roman Catholic Church tried in vain to destroy the genuine article, but God promised that he would preserve his word. The Dark Ages were called the Dark Ages because this is the period of time over which the Roman Catholic Church was SUCCESSFUL in keeping the Word of God away from the masses.

But even though the original manuscripts have disappeared, faithful copies, true to the original and authentic texts have been preserved.

Many people have been disenchanted with the bible, Christianity, and even Christ himself because of the Roman Catholic Church. The RCC is NOT a Christian church - it preaches a false gospel, and in fact has historically murdered by the millions both Christians and Jews.

I'm sorry that you have been discouraged by the "wolves in sheep's clothing" Y'shua (Jesus) warned would come.

If ever you would like further information, feel free to contact me.

God bless you.

The point is, those who claim it is scientifically accurate haven't read it and considered it. And yet, they insist that the book is 100% correct in all things.

One mistake might be overlooked, especially when it's not supposedly the direct word of G-d being given to a human, such as the story of the value of Pi. But then you have parts where G-d is directly attributed as the source of some speaking parts where scientific mistakes are made. If this omnipotent and omniscient G-d cannot get the facts right about something G-d created, how can we trust the G-d described in the book with the BIG questions, such as the meaning of life?

No WONDER you don't need God...apparently you have the facts about everything...even if they are totally misconstrued! BTW, I don't believe I've ever come across a more arrogant, mean spirited person. You don't REALLY ask a question, you just want to target and belittle Christians for their faith. You are a very, very small person, in my estimation!

Rant on, little buddy, there's some deep rooted reason why you are specifically on a rampage over Christianity....maybe it's truths are starting to ring true, or maybe you're bothered by the fact that you can't change our minds? I don't know, but I DO know how God's changed my life and your little "fits" don't throw me off one iota!

Ive said for decades that I will never believe in anything remotely related to Abraham and his sham of a God. I have related that the Emperor Constantine the Great practically wrote the New Testament but you just cant argue with faith. You will never find any accuracy in either Bible it is pure BS.

Down with Monotheistic Mythology and Up with thinking for yourself!

I do not know of others frustration about the Bible being inaccurate. What I do know is that the Bible is the most accurate Book one will ever find. Its the people who interpret it incorrectly that are the ones who are inaccurate.

Are you aware that 44% of the scientific community are of a Christian in faith?

You are wrong about the origin of the putting together of the bible, Constantine did do one but it feel quickly away, the books were chosen by more than 20 men of GOD who read and reviewed historical documents and eyewitness accounts that were still around, They then chose the books.
this is cool as they were travelling they met a fellow Christian who had a dream and in his dream were the exact books they had chosen. The bible says that "evidence is shown in the presence of 2 or more witness's." The bible proves science right or wrong.

So true, Christianity came from Pagan beliefs. Also, any God that doesn't know science would only prove that God was a lie, wouldn't you agree?

When the Bible refer to natural phenomena, it is consistently accurate. Galileo himself said: “Both the Holy Scriptures and nature proceed from the Divine Word . . . Two truths can never contradict one another.”

Even more fundamental than the movement of stars and planets is that all matter in the universe is governed by laws, such as the law of gravity. The earliest known non-Biblical reference to physical laws was made by Pythagoras, who believed that the universe could be explained by numbers. Two thousand years later, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton finally proved that matter is governed by rational laws.

The earliest Biblical reference to natural law is contained in the book of Job. About 1600 B.C.E., God asked Job: “Have you come to know the statutes [or, laws] of the heavens?” (Job 38:33) Recorded in the seventh century B.C.E., the book of Jeremiah refers to Jehovah as the Creator of “the statutes of the moon and the stars” and “the statutes of heaven and earth.” (Jeremiah 31:35; 33:25) In view of these statements, Bible commentator G. Rawlinson observed: “The general prevalence of law in the material world is quite as strongly asserted by the sacred writers as by modern science.”

If we use Pythagoras as a point of reference, the statement in Job was about a thousand years ahead of its time. Keep in mind that the Bible’s objective is not simply to reveal physical facts but primarily to impress upon us that Jehovah is the Creator of all things—the one who can create physical laws.—Job 38:4, 12; 42:1, 2.

This is only one of the scientific Fact.
