I have a friend that wishes to use him to breed from, but he is only 6 months old. What age do they normally start breeding them from?

After age 2. You need to get health clearances, or you can be breeding unhealthy crap.

Please don't breed.
This breed is in trouble, being banned, euthanized, tortured.

There are thousands of them in shelters and rescues, puppies included, wishing for a loving forever home.

Please don't add to the overpopulation and back yard breeding.

If your dogs don't meet the standards set by the kennel clubs, aren't temperment and health tested, and haven't been titled in obedience or another dog related activity, they should not be bred!

Health testing is not routine vaccinations. It looks for eye, hip, hearing and other potentially hereditary problems.
