Email your request to: David Oliver" < doliver72@usa.net
He has a lot of info on the subject.
Also call your local association for depression and anxiety disorders, they should be able to set you up with a support group for family of people with bipolar disorder. Also, find out about the disease as much as possible, the more you know, the better you will understand your husband and why he is acting the way he is and what to do at that moment.

Hi,
I'm a bipolar guy and I know how I can make my wife feel when I'm "crazy". Try this website;
www.nami.org
It's the website for the national alliance for the mentally ill. They have groups for all sort of mental illnesses as well as forums for family members of mentally ill people. You need to sign in and create a name and a password, but they never ask for money or bug you at all.

Is he just having a manic episode where you've reached the end of your rope or is he out of control? If that's the case you'd better contact his doctor so he can adjust medication right away.

I'm bipolar and someone suggested my family try:

www.supportpath.com

As far as I know he hasn't tried it yet, but other than suggesting you call your doctor, this is all I have. Sorry. Hope you both survive.

Call one of your friends to help you think about what to do. It's too much for one person (yourself) to take on. You're stuck, because you care and want to help, but at the same time, you don't know what. That's a lot of weight on your shoulders. You need a support system too.
Best of luck to you.
