I also pick up ashtrays and sometimes the ashes get in the air and I breathe them in it's gross. How is TB passed from one person to another?

No, TB is an airborne disease. However, because it is a mycoplasm, if someone sneezes on a surface, such as a glass or countertop, it can survive well. I wouldn't worry about ashes. A characteristic of a mycoplasm is that it can calcify but still be very much alive, just waiting for the right time.
Also- ALL Americans should get a mantoux test(TB test) yearly, regardless of location or industry. It's too serious to ignore.

You have a twisted way with words. Illegals have nothing to do with TB & neither do their glasses or ashtrays. Tuberculosis is an AIRBORN VIRUS that is passed on from person to person when they breath, talk, sneeze, or cough. That's why people should cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze. That's why you should always open a window on a public bus to let in fresh air & protect yourself from the virus in the air. If you have a cough that does not go away for 2 months or more, then you should get a chest x-ray or a tb skin test. If you are working in the restaurant industry, then you should have a health card that would include a skin test for tb & an HIV test. You should be safe as long as you keep your face away from the customers face! Work by an open door or window if you are that worried!

Okay, I'm going to cut through all the crap they have told you and tell you the absolute truth. TB is highly contagious that is correct. In order for you to get TB from someone they have to cough on you and you have to breath in what they have coughed. I would however wash my hands frequently. You are correct in thinking that TB is more prevalent in the migrant population. They are less likely to get treated for fear of getting sent back to their country. I would get periodic TB skin tests (once per year-local health department can do this for a couple of dollars). Otherwise, you don't have much else to worry about.

TB is highly contagious. It is airborne bacteria, it is as easy as catching the flu or a cold. And the new strains coming into this country are deadly and not curable.

take care. If you do get it they still quarantine and is difficult to be cured.

if there coughing a lot you don't need to be in there area. TB affects the lungs. it can eventually kill you. you start coughing up blood. if you start feeling bad in the chest and coughing go to your Dr. when they cough the germ becomes air born, the saliva that comes out of the mouth is contagious. every one in the same area or room will be infected.

Oh, look who is back tonight, I wonder if she'll bring my clone with her. I wouldn't worry too much about TB, try washing your hands, you should be fine.

What you should do is call ICE so they send them back and you will be helping the American people. This is one way to help keep all those deceases out of the USA.

Don't worry honey, if you are not swapping saliva with them, you should have nothing to worry about. Wear latex gloves when touching these items and wash your hands often. Skanks come in all cultures, not just illegals.

MY answer....FINAL answer

Find a way/job/habit of finding those who you don't have to SERVE.

It makes life SO much easier and TESTS are not needed.

(NOTE:.........I got her disgusting way of trying to downgrade people.........BUT.......I thought she did a pretty good job of that herself with the "I SERVE A BUNCH OF" of post....so I left it alone).

kisses
