BASENJI'S ARE BARKLESS DOGS. BUT THEY ARE HIGH MAINTENANCE SO DO ALOT OF RESEARCH. YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN. EVERY OTHER HAND BAG SIZE DOG I'VE EVER MET DOES NOTHING BUT BARK. THATS WHY I HAVE 4 LARGE DOGS. ROCKY BARKS IF SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR. THATS IT.

The dog that barks the least is the Basenji. They're known as the barkless dog, although the do "yodel" a bit. Maybe not small enough for in cabin travel on the airlines, but then again airlines don't always allow dogs either in the cabin or down below, so you're taking a huge risk in planning on taking a dog traveling.

A bezengi ( may be misspelled) is known to be a bark-less dog, but be warned, they are also known to be a one person dog, meaning they will be very loyal to it's owner, but may not be very sociable with other people and animals. A Shar-Pei is not known to be a barker, but all dogs will bark if lonely and bored. They bark to let others know they need attention and affection. Upbringing will be the key to how much your dog will bark, you will have to be firm when they are barking just to make noise. Watch the Dog Whisperer, he really can help with some good tips.

A dog barking case is a civil suit, so you would probably go looking around for Civil Lawyers. There are two different kinds of lawsuits, Criminal and Civil, so finding the right lawyer/firm is important. I would suggest google to find a lawyer near you, or try calling a firm and getting legal advice on defending yourself or finding a good lawyer. Sorry thats all I have, I hope that helps.

I could not help but answer this. Won't get the ten points but don't care...Please do not plan on traveling with a dog alot. They are no longer allowed with you and the kennelling and handling through "baggage" yep that is what it is even for pets is straining on a dog. You know how your ears are, dogs cannot even "chew gum" to pop theirs. You will end up with a dog that is scared to death of humans because of the crating and passing around. I am sorry but I just had to share this as you had asked the question.

we have a bichon frise. She is small yet sturdy. She doesn't bark much at all. She's wonderful with children and strangers. She is very friendly and playful...and she can turn off the playfulness the instant you're done playing with her. She doesn't shed either.
The only downside to the breed is they need grooming. They get matted hair if it gets too long. But our Sugar is so freakin' adorable and sweet we don't hold that against her

They are not so small but they do not bark very ofter if anything they howl sometimes. Huskies we have two and we have only heard one bark once or twice but they howl every once and a blue moon.

A basenji is as close as you're going to get to a bark-less dog . . . and they are relatively small.
