I am dealing with this EXACT situation right now. And the only thing you can do is keep the lines of communication open with Domestic Relations or whatever office is enforcing the court order. They usually handle everything. He will just keep landing himself in jail for contempt of the court order. I hope everything works out for the best.

Ahhh.. the good old "Won't hold a job" trick. There isn't much you can do when they won't hold down that employment. I know in my state, if you have a court order for back child support and they get pulled over by the police, they will get put in jail and whatever amount they owe you is what they have to pay to get bailed out of jail. And then that money is then transferred to you. But the big clause in that is he has to first get pulled over or arrested for something ELSE.

There are bounty hunters that can be found on the net to help you track them down and get your money, but again, if he doesn't have any money to give, that is kind of pointless because the bounty hunters get a cut of whatever he owes you.

All I can say is pray and hope for the best. One day your time will come... and so will your BIG PAY DAY!

First, never stop legal action. Let the DA's office continue and or the court process. I learned the hard way.. not to pursue this very same issue. What happens is the fee accrues .. it gets bigger and bigger. By the time he decides to settle down and work, you will have $$$.. And believe me by the time your child gets to the age of 9 and up, you are going to need every dime for your child.. sports activities, etc., plus clothes - OMG!! , etcetera. It's very expensive down the line, believe me!! If he isn't working, he may be lying.. (my ex did that too).. Eventually it will catch up with the fool. But, if you ever suspect he is working, get a private investigator to conduct an investigation. That will nab his a**. Shop around.. investigators who find your cause worthy.. will give you a price break. Also.. try to find support groups online or through yahoo groups that will help give you more direction and/or resources. Do not let him get away with it.. In our state.. they can get their license suspended.. if they don't pay child support. And he can get his taxes garnished. It's his responsiblity to pay for his child no matter what.

Just keep after him. If you happen to know where he lives then give that info to your child support enforcement case worker. They will find out if he has anything going into social security. It is also my understand that if he hasn't contacted you, since your child is only 2, or made any payments for somewhere between 90 days and 6 months in most states you can file a petition to have his parental rights terminated. It is different in every sate. If that is really what you want to do you can look into it. I have thought about it myself.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do...If he doesn't hold a job to make money. You ain't gonna get any. And, At least in Texas, Visitation isn't related to child support. He can get in your a** about not letting him see his daughter but you don't have much recourse if he doesn't pay like he is supposed to...Some guys make the rest of us look really bad...

Keep turning him in. Eventually, they'll catch up to him, if for no other reason, to get you to quit calling them. Good Luck.
