that there is a far more advanced alien civilization than ours and that earth is just one of its little experiments? a million years to us would just be an hour to them?

More presiely a Alien Coment that delivered the basic elements of life that started amino acids on earth after many other conditions fell into place.
Interestingly enough, the Hindu believe we are just a thought in the mind of god and when he wakes in thousands of darma years we are wiped clean like RAM, but then He resumes sleeping and we begin anew, Then there is the question, are we in the mind of god or is he in the mind of man! SOme of those churchie asnwers are sheepishly sad and pathetic!!! I rec. the newly redone Carl Sagan Cosmos series.
Additionaly, if god created the earth, then he was an alien to begin with because he came here from "somewhere else" outside of earth.

And would that not be God since He told us that a day to God is like a million years to us.
I don't doubt that God has created the universe and all life forms in it, and yes I would believe that some are more advanced and until man can manage the earth we will never get to explore it. Why should He turn us loose in the universe when we are about to destroy this mere planet and can't be trusted for we are the stewards of the earth, and we are doing a very poor job of it.
