First Premier Bank is a good one, but once you've established yourself with them pay every bill on time and then once you've paid the balance off close the account. Get a copy of your credit history for free at Freeannualcreditreport.com. I have a Centennial Visa with them. You can go to Centennialcard.com and apply for their VISA or MC, but only keep this card for a good year to two years to build your credit back and then when you feel that your credit is where it should be close the account and make sure you don't owe anything and that your account carries a ZERO balance. Don't do ANY cash advances because the interest rate is too high and First Premier will charge $11 convienience fee foryou to pay your bill over the phone and the internet so pay every bill on time if you have to pre purchase money orders in incriments of $20 so you can have one ready to go each month so you don't have to cut a check and mail it and not worry about bouncing checks or having fees incur for insufficient funds.

With bad credit, the credit card u would be able to get will come with a high interest rate.

Therefore, unless u know u really can pay in full & on time, dont get a credit card at all.

--a secure card may be a good idea though

I think the best credit card to repair your credit would be orchard bank, my husband got that to repair his and it has been helping him out alot. They report to the credit bureaus every 3 months and that is good as longest you keep your payments on time.

Avoid ANY card that charges you a fee to use like Orchard Bank. Get yourself a secured bank card and set up automatic payments so you are never late again! It takes time.

Do not get one!!!! Please!!! If you need to get one, get one with a very low max-like $200 and pay it off as soon as you use it!

I got a credit card to build up my credit, then I lost my job, so I used it for everything, and didn't have any money to pay it, so I got overdraft charges and late fees. Please, do not get one unless you absolutely need one. You can build up your credit other ways like getting a checking account.

You obviously don't understand BAD CREDIT

With it you won't get a card.

And no card is better than any other for improving credit ratings .......... all that will improve that is making your payments.
