Don't jump to any extreme conclusions. There's probably a high strain in his head when he pushes out the tears and it makes him feel woozy, and he consistently cries and eventually feels a need to fall out. Just do your best to calm him down, and if the problem persists and you can't do so, then it's safe to assume you can take him to the doctor's office.

I recommend talking to you doctor about this as soon as possible.

I have a condition called Vasovagal Syncope which could fit what you describe. A layman's description of this condition is that when someone gets upset, stressed, hurt they can pass out. If you have ever heard of the "fight or flight" response, basically it happens at that time.. I recommend clicking the link I attached or searching for the condition online if you want more detailed information but again - please talk to your doctor ASAP.

I don't know, but I cried so hard once as a kid my nose started bleeding. Could be your child is crying so hard he isn't breathing right, and the lack of oxygen causes him to faint. I'd ask a doctor about that.

Oh yeah, lack of oxygen or changes in blood pressure. Talk to the doctor, who will want to be sure he doesn't have some underlying problems. Then ask the doctor how you can get the little dumpling to express his anger in other ways, he sounds like a little firecracker!

I have run accross this with a couple of kids. What is happening is they are crying so hard that they hold their breath until they pass out. My friends' kid did this and she would blow in the kids face, nose/mouth area, the kid would gasp and break the cycle. They grow out of it eventually.

maybe its from a lack of oxygen from crying out and not nreathing in. Or like after you cry the sniffles make it hard to breathe? Does his face turn blue?

Cause he cant catch his breath cause hes crying so hard. Have to watch cause it can cut off oxygen to his brain. If it continues i suggest talking to his doctor about it.

My friend at work's kid did that I think it is because they end up holding their breath so long they pass out!
