They CAN stop, but they have to want to. And women do it too. Society has gotten to the point where the only thing that matters anymore is sex and money. We (men & women) have to realize that if we engage in purely sexual relationships, or use sex (walking around half naked) to get a relationship, that sex will always be the basis, so whats to stop the other person from going to have sex elsewhere.
If we want relationships based on things other than sex, then sex shouldnt play into it until the other things are established (respect, love, admiration, etc).
Please dont keep dating the same kinds of guys, learn from your mistakes early and move on. You deserve better. They are definetely not like that, but you cant use sex to get them in the first place - everybody has a sexual organ (well most). Give them the thing that is special about you - that they cant get else where. And be patient. When the right guy comes along and wants just you for you it will be the best thing in the world, and it'll be worth the wait

Not all men cheat honey, and in fact, in this day and age, it seems more and more women are doing the same. If you've been cheated on a few times, you need to change what type of men you are dating. Look back to them all and find the similiar pattern. I know it sounds absurd, but there's alot of truth to this. I've sat in studies on this and have even had my friends do the same. They were amazed at what they found themselves doing when it came to the men they chose to have relationships with. Once they found the common trait all these men had, they made it a point to avoid those men and haven't looked back. I know it would be easier to say "boys will be boys", but this is truly not the case. don't let a few rotten apples ruin the whole bunch...there are some really good ones out there!

Guys DON'T cheat all of the time. Some guys cheat all the time. Get it right. Also, it's not just a "GUY THING". Girls are equally known for being dishonest to their sigificant other. All you need to do is to stop getting involved with those dirt bags that do cheat, and another thing, start looking for guys in different places!! It's sounds like you are a bar-club girl. 90 percent of the time, you are NOT going to find a decent guy at those joints.

Not all of the men cheats by the way.
Even they are cheating, maybe because...their girlfriends restricts from many things(porn, strip bar, drinking, looking at girls etc), not enough attention to their bodies or simply a playboy. I'm sure there are more reasons...but these are main ones I think.
I don't think it's a guy thing either since there are many girls who cheats on their boyfriends constantly.

You know? Most guys do cheat, but so do some girls. I think it is an insecurity or a commitment issue. They can stop if they have strong willpower. It's hard to find a guy who won't cheat though.

Unfortunately, some guys don't have the moral fiber to keep their hormones in control. They also think it gives them bragging rights to add more notches to their belt. They CAN stop, but most are too thick-heated to do so. The good guys won't cheat.

Why is it always men. It is not always men because I am a married man, and I have been there, done that and seen it.
I know few married women that have cheated on their husbands, and thanked me for not telling their husband on them.
Unless you have not been there, then no one can truthfully answer this question.
But it is about the same ratio today for women and men that are cheating.

There are just as many women that cheat as there are men that cheat. You would be better off saying why do people cheat on their significant others?

its not a guy thing...some guys are good and are faithful to their women......the guys that cheat....cheat because...they are stupid and dont know what they really have, they THINK that cheating is a cool thing...u kno how some guys are just straight up stupid.......but that also applies to girls....some girls
stay faithful and some cheat......the world is full of good people and bad people.... you just need to try and separate the good from the bad....
