Maybe you could become a volunteer helper in a diabetic or cardic ward. Sweets and chocolates seem lots of fun when you do not know that continual over indulgence of sugar and fat rich foods will increase you chances of becoming diabetic which in turn will increase your chances of stoke, heart diease or heart attack.
My mother used to warn me of the dangers of over eating I did not listen but as I held her cold lifeless hand one beautiful sunny hot June day The message hit my brain like a missile. Investigate the illnesses you can look forward to in the forthcoming years and put that choccy down.

Did you know that sweet foods actually release endorphins in your brain and give you a high, much like the high someone would get if they were a drug addict? In fact candy releases dopamine, the feel good hormone which gives heroin its appeal. If you look at sweets as an occasional treat (say once a week) there is really nothing wrong with them, however if you are feeling cravings for sweets and are showing signs of addiction as you seem to be, then you have a problem. I'm a marathoner with a sweet tooth and I do indulge occasionally, but my rule is if a food or a drink or anything out there in the world is making me feel compelled to consume it, even against my better judgment, then it's probably something I should steer clear of. I've had to cut out chocolate for the same reason. In fact no candy or chocolate is allowed to enter my house because I can't control my consumption of it. Good for you for choosing a healthy lifestyle. Remember that it's a lifelong commitment and some days are going to be better than others. Don't be too hard on yourself.

a sweet tooth is a learned trait, youve grown up having sweet things, so your body craves them for extra bursts of energy. the only way to overcome an addiction to sweet things is to quit having them all together.
its much easier to have no cookies, than to only have 1 and stop.

or if you really cant, try replacing sweets with sweet things that are still healthy. whien im craving candy, i try to have somethinglike a slice of honeydew, which are really sweet when theyre ripe.
