Sarcasm and a psycho so far. The cost now seems to be losing control of the House and Senate in November or gaining control... but we all know nothing that far-fetched would happen in the next couple weeks to even think it would be the case. The cost in the long term... saving face and trying to save whatever he has left of his dignity and Republican supporters leading up to 2008 Presidential Primaries... Debates... etc. so he could try to use it as some sort of "momentum" to bring in another moron Republican as President.

1. We show the terrorists we are not willing to finish the job.
2. They will use it to recruit other terrorists.
3. They will continue to attack us because they will have learned that at the first bloodshed, we run. They will continue to push the envelope until they get a nuke and NY is blown off the map.
