Shouldn't Moslems be tolerant and patient with YA users who seem to get their kicks from posting hate questions targeting their religion and prophet instead of responding with anger and insults?
Even in the early the times of Islam there were men who not only slandered and abused the prophet but actively sought to physically eliminate him and they ulimately became fervent defenders of the faith.

Mr. Positive, calm down brother. A Moslem ( an acceptable variation on Muslim) is never rude or uncouth.

I have just witnessed the tragic downfall of a Moslem-hater of some renown. Moral of the story: Be patient; God is mighty enough to take care of these unholy preachers of hate.

I am not a Muslim, I'm a British Christian, but here's my view:
I look at how Muslims are treated and spoken to today, and I am amazed at how tolerant and patient they are. Almost nobody in the UK or US has made an effort to understand Islam, speak to a Muslim about Islam, visit a Mosque or read the Qur'an.
But people read a column in a tabloid story, written by an ignorant agenda-driven reporter and then become an expert in Islam.
It's embarrassing to us as westerners to be so easily convinced. Everyone's opinion is a clone of the next persons, and it's just through fear, assumption and the need for someone to blame or ignorance.
A quick research of history or a real research of what the US and my nation, the UK, are doing in the Middle East proves that Muslims have suffered, shown and continue to show a remarkable tolerance.
Some people seem to dig out a few lines from the Qur'an and use this to prove that Islam is bad. Firstly, the Qur'an was written in another time and under a different and more expressive style of sentence composition
But, so was the Bible. For example the summary of messages in some sections of the Bible:
- You must kill those who worship another god. Exodus 22:20
- Kill everyone who has religious views that are different than your own. Deuteronomy 17:2-7
- The non-Christian is “a deceiver and an enemy of Christ” 2 John 1:7
So, is the Bible wicked? Of course not, it's far too complex to take a few paraphrases and form an opinion. As is the Qur'an, from my limited reading and very basic knowledge.
So come on people. Can't you see that the tension being created between Islam & the West is politically manipulated? We're distracted by a stupid fear of Muslims that has allowed governments to start wars, destroy freedoms, perform untold crimes against humanity, etc. etc.
Muslims are treated just like the Irish were a few decades ago in the UK. And like the Jews were in WW2, or like the Christians were in Rome, etc. It's unfair..

Buddy, it's not "Moslems" it's "Muslims." Get you're spelling right.
To answer your question, Muslims are tolerant of it because we have no choice. There will always be haters in the world and you can't do anything about it. God just made this world this way. I see that you're saying Muslims are violent when they're accused, but open your eyes and look around you! How many Christians do you see being tolerant with accusations! Some of them threat you and use most foul tone to answer your question if it's not to their liking! You must realize that there are good and bad in everything, each person, not matter what religion they are in. The bottom line is there's good people and bad people in all religions.

I am a British Christian and I have to say I admire my Muslim Friends for standing right by their beliefs in the face of so much misunderstanding and intolerance. It would be so simple to say 'I give in' and walk away from their religion. It takes courage to stand by your faith!
I only hope when the day comes I will be half as brave and faithful as they are proving to be.
The nutters on TV are just that! The extremists are evil but my Muslim neighbours are good and decent people and I am proud to know them!

If they'd ask legimate questions instead of starting with insults.
A large rash of this has been because of their insults on Chrisitianity.
Also playing one upmanship.
And obivously you haven't seen the banter here between Atheists and Theists.
Want to see anger and insults check those posts out!
What I want to know is when is Islam going to stop kidnapping reporters, like the Spanish AP photographer that got kidnapped today at gunpoint.
Even Hamas isn't happy about this one.

but the prophet instructed his followers to ask the children to pray when they are 7 years old and enforce them to do it when they are 10 years old and beat them if they did not do it then. Beating children just because they did not pray is kind of child abuse and I seen this once in USA Mosque where the Imam threatening the children to beat them in an attempt to have them to memorize the Koran. Muslims should be tolerant and patient with their children as priority.

Good question! Muslims are just sinners who are not saved but have a religion that they practice that can neither save them or show them the way. Should they use patience and tolerance? Yes it would be salvation to them to some extent. Anyone who uses a defense for themselves has rejected God's defence which is patience and tolerance. Yes ,they do have the law of Moses, but just like Israel they are blind until they except Jesus Christ as Lord and follow Him. So because they reject Christ as their Lord they will stay in blindness and it will always be bad for them. The bible does not predict them being saved. Maybe a few!
Sincerely,
Jessie G

Islam cannot stand up under the principles of freedom. It lives on abuse and bondage of females, lies, a false prophet,
Look at the real issue. You have up to 4 wives, you can sell off your daughters as they age, enriching you, and keeping the status quo. You own your wives, daughters and they are property guranteed you by the Koran, and Church. These are things muslims cannot be tolerant of in free speech or they lose them.

in case you opt for the actuality, lack of wisdom itself, isn't meant to be tolerated. the fee of the lives, of persons, is. it is impossible that persons can quite be so ignorant that they could keep away from all authentic reason. you mustn't underestimate its skill for impact. although, while you're an atheist, lots of your frustration could be coming from the undeniable fact which you're an atheist. in spite of if, atheist evaluate themselves to be of far greater the reasoning recommendations, or perhaps the main potential-comprehensive at debate, nevertheless yet after centuries upon centuries of the existence of atheism, an exceptionally great majority of the international, isn't atheist. certainly one of those great majority of it is not atheist, that atheist, in the event that they do no longer look to be tolerant, have great reason to worry, via fact the overpowering majority of persons who're no longer atheist, ought to possibly exterminate almost all of the atheists on the earth, in a count of weeks. they're in basic terms no longer interior the tactical place, to no longer be tolerant of all of the persons who do no longer believe them, if the decide for to proceed respiration. it is "functional" to evaluate. If atheists have been given to aggressive in direction of the international around them, they might in basic terms no longer stay long, a minimum of no longer out of reformatory, or with all their physique areas intact. This makes, being tolerant, a sensible factor.
