Wal Mart if they were being true purists of ideals of the First Admendment of the Constitution, should sell the satanic bible by Anton LeVey.
HOWEVER- they are not a government institution, they are not an idealogical institution- they are an institution who's sole purpose is to make money, by providing low cost main stream items to the cross section of consumers.
Essentially, they supply daily needs to the average american family of 1 male, 1 female, 2.3 kids, 1.25 SUV's and 1.7 dogs and 1.9 cats.
The average AMERICAN family does NOT worship satan.
The average AMERICAN family DOES WORSHIP God as they understand him.
WALMART WORSHIPS MONEY AND STOCKHOLDERS( IN THAT ORDER) - if they didn't, they would be more fair on their pay and benefits.

If they are going to sell the Bible then there is no reason why they should not sell the Satanic Bible. It goes with what I said last time.. don't pick and choose who the rules stand for.. stand for all or stand for none but be consistent.

Wal-Mart should sell whatever Wal-Mart wants to sell.
If you would like to influence Wal-Mart, write them a letter. If you don't wish to influence them, keep talking to people who have no power over Wal-Mart's board of directors.

If there is a demand, sure. I've run several bookstores. I didn't feel obligated to try to have every book on my shelves, but I never refused to order any book on any legal topic requested by anyone. I considered it something like a sacred trust; freedom of choice. I don't try to think for other people.

I read the Satanic "Bible" - it's kinda boring. It is written by one person, Anton LaVey, who is not any kind of pope of Satanists... the gist of it is, do what feels good, be selfish, do whatever it takes to get what you want... kind of the same message you hear in any get-rich-quick informercial, just packaged differently...

All religious books should be in the Fiction section anyway, just as long as they treat them ALL the same, I don't care.
I'm more offended they sell Kevin Trudeau's latest piece of crapulous misinformation in the "health" section.

If it weren't for a conscience of my own and my children Id say yes, But I have babies and I want them growing up learning all kinds of religions and ways of life. On school breaks they will study and tell me about what they learned!
