You can still get pregnant. I know I have with 3 different types of birth control and then once again while using condoms. Birth control is NOT 100% effective.

No birth control method is 100% effective excluding abstinence... (well there was the one case of the virgin marry but we won't count that one)
It takes 1 month for the birth control pill to be effective 99% of the time..
Condoms are also 99% effective with user error and condom failure accounting for the 1% failure rate... They are 99% effective immediately ..
Read and understand the liturature you recieved with your birth control to learn the restrictions etc. for the form you chose... If you do not understand contact your pharmacist or Dr. to explain it to you.. That is why they ask if you need a consultation at the pharmacy and why they ask if you have questions at the Dr.s office.. It's not because they just love asking the questions they want to help you have the right information..

Anytime you have unprotected sex whether on the pill or not you CAN get pregnant. Birth control pills are NOT 100% effetive and it takes 6 to 8 weeks in order for them to be effective, if you've had sex before that then you'd better be shopping around for a pregnancy test.

The point of birth control is to be able to have sex and let all kinds of kinds come inside you without getting pregnant. Don't act like you didn't know that. That's why you're on it.

You are not supposed to get pregnant you have sperm inside of you when you are using the birth control pill.
But my cousin had been using it for two years and she got pregnant while using it so i guess it is not 100% EFFECTIVE.

it takes one month of taking the pill PROPERLY (same time every day) to take effect. after the one month mark, you are safe to have sex. the sperm can be inside you without getting preggers. the only exception is if your doc has given you a pill with a dosage of hormones that is too low, which would allow for your egg to still drop. just remember - abstaining is the only way to be 100% sure you won't get pregnant!

Yes, you could still become pregnant. However, you will be less likely to get pregnant with birth control.

Well there is a chance you can still get pregnant, just a very slim one make sure you are taking them around the same time everyday so it is more accurate and if you skip one then be cautious and take it as soon as you realise it.
