Hello. I am skinny, very healthy weight and I am not trying to lose weight!. However my my hips are a little bigger than the rest of my body and I was wondering are there specific muscle toning exercises that helps reduce this? I am not going to lose weight so no suggestions on eating better unless there is some magical way to eat a certian combination of foods. Which I find highly impossible. Alrighty then. Thanks for the help.

Talk to a personal trainer. He or she can give you specific exercises to do. I'm thinking that you should probably focus on "bulking up" your upper body with lean muscle mass to help balance out your lower body.

If you build muscle ALL OVER your body - particularly in the upper body - you'll balance yourself out. You can't pull your hip bones closer together, but you can build muscle in your upper back and shoulders that will even you out and help create more of an hour glass shape. I'm the opposit - I look like a boy - all upper body, no lower body. I have to work like an animal to balance it out. At least you have the look that is "in" right now. I would have been more of a hit in the 80's, but I do what I can.

Try pilates, yoga, or any kind of aerobics dance classes. Most women are trying to get smaller hips thighs and butt, so most women's workout classes will target these areas.
