Actually you get a fever when you are sick and your body is trying to fight off the illness. Fevers are dangerous if they are high. You can die from a high fever.

First off, you get an infection, or bacteria makes its way into your body. So, your white blood cells fight against that disease. The fighting causes the blood cells to move quicker than they would normally, and more movement causes the heat to increase, according to the laws of kinetics.

you get a fever when your imune system is down due to illness and it is a sign that you need to see the doc asap!!!!!!!!!!!!
