8 inches, are you sure? That sounds like an awful lot. I have a gap in my front teeth too but it's not that big. But yes, get some braces if this space makes you unhappy.

Put your head in a vise- thats the only 8" of seperation you've got- and apply pressure until theres the normal 1/8" of a gap like in Tennesse, or Texas
