ok i grew up there was there untill i tuned 30 ok this is the deal ,,,,,,all left hand turns are made from the right lane on divided roads & highways so you get in the right hand lane as you approach the light and go around a jughandle(half loop) that takes you left towards the light go straight accross hence making a left from the road you just left

txtxtx111, that sounds plausible, but, being from Jersey all my life and still residing here, I must say I NEVER heard of a "JERSEY LEFT", and I have MANY road miles on me, too.

I think I might have just learned something.....
