I think my 16mos. old daughter may have consumed some applejuice that she found under my bed. Should I be concerned. Should I call the doctor, she seems to be fine.

applejuice was inside her sippycup that was kicked under the bed by accident and she found it.

That is a normal thing for children to leave their cup and bottles in wierd places , not to be found until they are all molded. My kids have done it several times and they are fine. Dont listen to these people talking about CPS, etc..They obviously dont have kids. Dont worry about it too much. Im sure she didnt consume anywhere near enough to make her sick. Im sure it tasted nasty and she didnt want to drink anymore after one sip.

I would be totally concerned and keep an eagle eye on her for a time....in the meantime be sure and keep sippy cups and obviously other things at your discretion accounted for because as a toddler gets older they are naturally curious and will try to get at everything. Prayers =)

Please don't feel bad no matter what some other on here might say it happens to many mothers a child's sippy cup has a magical way of disappearing in any family's house and then reappearing unexpectedly. Just watch her I'm sure she'll be fine

It's gonna happen. Those little dickens stash food and then forget about it until it's yucky. Maybe have her drink alot of water to flush it out quickly. You may want to check with a nurse or doctor just in case.

Like the one person above, chances are that if it was old, it was gross and she didn't get much of it but a bad taste. I wouldn't be worried about all the "what ifs" in your daughter's life or you'll make yourself crazy! It's bad enough getting through the things that ARE!

I'm not a licensed professional by any means, and you should not take my advice on medical matters.

That being said, if she doesn't seem to be having any symptoms she is probably fine. Take her in if she starts getting a fever or something.

I agree with the "it's fine" folks.

It is really no big deal, people have been fermenting juices for years and although they sometime get stuff that tastes terrible, it's not harmful.

How much did she drink? Once my daughter found a bottle in her toybox. I felt like the movies, all in slow mo and all. I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO" She got one sip and threw it down in disgust. She was ok though.

But, with apple juice, I would be concerned about botchulism. (I hope I spelled that right, my spell check is gone?)

If it were my kids I would wait most likely she will be fine. If you are worried call your doctor that is what they are there for. If your doctor is not available there will be one there on call for him. My kids have got ahold of old sippy cups and they were fine. Take care

If she has a severe mold allergy it could really hurt her. Call someone at the first sign of any symptons. It's not your fault -- kids hide things all of the time.
