"What is the best type of diapers to use, I'm 17."
"What is the best brand of infant's cold medicine, I'm 32."

"did your belly button pop out when you were pregnant, I'm in California?"

Is there really a point in putting minor details such as these in questions other than for attention?

Well sometimes, if the question is asked regarding a legality of some sort, yes it is important. But it does tend to get annoying when you see it used over and over again pointlessly. Usually those questions don't even have enough content to answer correctly, but at least you know they are 13 and from Canada!
A!

LOL! I wrote about that too. I think it's too funny. People are so silly sometimes. It's like do people really need to know my age when I'm asking about my son getting his teeth in?

My name is Lindsey and I'm 19!

Perhaps it seems irrelevant to you- but maybe it means something to someone else. Or perhaps they want to give a little background on themselves. People who are young stating their age asking a question like "I am 16- which do you prefer Pampers or Huggies?" are probably stating their age to simply say "Hey, I'm a kid and I don't know what I'm doing. Please help." I suppose if you don't like it- don't answer the question. You know what irritates me? People posting questions in the wrong areas.

Some people just think that b/c thye live in another state that things are different for them I guess...lol. and for the age my they just want us to know what there age is. I think that it is point less to do that. only if you need to.

I'm Kallie, I think that's funny and true, and I don't have socks on right now.

...is that the kind of random info you wanted? lol

Could seem irrelevant because the question isn't understood in its entirety... ;-)
