if you do read the bible why do you want to be catholic cant you see that in the bible it says that god sanctified the 7th day which is the sabbath a.k.a saturday. if you want to obey him then keep his commanments, all of them because he never changed them. if you want to know more email me ask me questions and with the help of god i will answer them using the bible itself and you can look and research please do so. there are not many kids of our ages looking for god. i am glad you are, thank the lord jesus. i will pray for you so that the lord may guide you. we have so much to study and talk about. see you soon. bnjmn_mt@verizon.net
and really it doesnt matter what church you go to just that you do everything god wants you to do to be saved but its also good to stick to a church that follows all and all his teachings this way you can explain to your parents what i explain to you

Do you have any other relatives or friends that love going to
church? If so, just maybe you could go with them - ask your
own parents nicely and do not read beyond what they allow.
Ignore the answers that tell you God is a statue and nonsense
like that. My Bible says God the Father, so you were correct to
use "He" in your question. I keep thinking of the song "God will
make a way where they seems to be no way" and that is true.
The Independent Christian Churches would make a nice choice
for you if the Catholic Church is too stiff. Look in your phone book
to see if there is one within your travel distance.

My friend, it is awesome to read about your passion for Christ and his Church. I would suggest that you talk to your parents And tell them about what you are thinking. They may disagree with you, ask you questions which could discourage you, or give you reasons why they think God is not real. Or they may encourage you and allow you will to experience Christianity and the one true God. Hopefully the second of these two possibilities will occur. But if not the Bible tells us that we are to respect our mother and father and while you are living at home you should respect their decisions. That does not mean that you cannot read the Holy Bible. I would encourage you to read Scripture found in the Holy Bible. Starting in Genesis and reading all way through Revelation. The Hebrew Bible ( the Old Testament in the Holy Bible) is foundational in understanding the New Testament (Second portion of the Holy Bible) so it is good to start at the beginning. Also another good way to stay in contact with God even if you can not attend church is through prayer. God is always there to listen and to guide. Pray to God that he would soften your parents hearts in this situation. My friend the Catholic Church is a very good Church but so is the Presbyterian church. They both have the same core beliefs, their foundation is Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus the Christ. They both believe in the Nicene or apostles Creed which is a standard in the Christian faith. They believe in a Triune God who is the God of all creation and of everyone (whether individuals believe it or not). Go with God my friend, I will be praying for you and for your family. May the Lord bless you and keep you, May his face Shine upon you and give you peace.

Keep reading the bible. Ask God for help to understand it.
Church's do not have the answers the bible has it all. It is a
book that contains power and the more you read it and ask
for the HOLY SPIRIT to help reveal the meaning the closer you
will get to what you are looking for. I asked for understanding
when I was 10 years old. I went along with my parents religion
until I was 16. I am now so solid in my believes and I don't
ever need to attend a church. Just remember Jesus was not
a Christian, he wanted everyone to be saved., He died for all
people even non-believers

I'm not sure how old you are but i guess that is the deciding factor on whether or not you should just walk off and attend the church service. However, if you can't just leave the house, I would suggest going to the library and reading about the different denominations and utilizing the internet. If you have friends who are religious maybe you can attend services with them. I understand that you want to go to church, and that is comendable, on the other hand, God knows what is in your heart, and therefore you can praise him anywhere.

I can help you, don't be afraid, it doesn't matter what church you go to just go. I'am a born again Christian and have been for 4 years know. I was always so afraid to go to church by myself and I prayed to God for help and I have been going all by my self now for 4 years. My husband and my children won't go. I think it is so wonderful what you are doing. Don't let anyone get in your way. God and his Angels are there for you and will protect you. I also read the Bible and I try to read it everyday. I belong to a book club and I have so many different books regarding God. I just love it. If you want to talk email me and i can give you my books that i have already read. summersconnie@yahoo.com

Let me explain a bit to you about Catholic, one of my best friend is catholic, there you pray to God, the Virgin Mary, and other saints. The Pope is you God on earth.
Presbyterian is more like any other church that reads the bible sings hymns, and praise the Lord, there are many religious.
If I were you I would start right there at the Presbyterian church and see if you like it, if not then visit other churches. No one knows why God put that church so close to you. Just go for a while and if you like it stay, if not try other churches, religions, and the one that makes you feel at peace stick with that one.
Or you just read the Bible at home and find other kids that are religious and you can talk about the bible with you.
There are religions that are like cults, so be careful of them, they offer you salvation, they offer everything you want to hear, but those are not good churches, just read the Bible for now and pray, God will put someone to lead you the rest of the way.

well I'm a christian too. i think its GREAT that you want to be religious!!! even if you do want to be catholic....any religion is good. they re all pretty much the same. as long as you re learning more about God. try talking to other people you know who are christians. see if any of them can give you a ride on Sunday mornings. if you just cant find a way to get to church.... just keep reading the bible!! there is sooooo much to learn. some churches even provide transportation. try calling and seeing if they pick people up on Sunday mornings. ill be praying for you!!!!!!! God bless!

Even if your parents aren't religious, they're probably not going to have too much of a problem with it. Just say you want to check out church and see what it's like. Going to a Protestant church rather than a Catholic one isn't really a huge deal--Catholics and Protestants have differences in their theology but they serve the same God.
