You probably have a Urinary Tract Infection and/or possibly kidney infection since you have pain in your side. If you feel like you have to pee a lot, but don't actually urinate alot, that's a good sign of a UTI. If you start to get little drops of blood in your urine is another sign or if it hurts when you pee. You'll need to see a doctor to get some anti-biotics - it does not go away on it's own.
It's no biggie. But it can turn into a kidney infection and that's a pain.
If you have a UTI lay off the soda and sex for a bit.
Peeing after sex helps prevent UTIs.

It sounds like your not drinking enough water. You might have a urinary tract infection. The "pain when you urinate" is the symptom.
You need to get your kidneys flushed out.
