Start by selling your current vehicle for as much as you can get for it and THEN IF THEY HAVE THEM IN YOUR AREA AS THEY DO IN MINE FIND A USED CAR DEALER THAT OFFERS A "BUY HERE PAY HERE PROGRAM" and buy a DECENT CHEAP CAR like a few years old "TOYOTA" or a "HONDA" or a "HYUNDAI" using what you got for your old car as a down payment and maintain it properly, and it should get you around and back and forth to work and school and any of those brands of vehicles are very good on gas so that will help you too

At 17 you can not finance a vehicle, and you do not have the income to do it anyway. You need to get a job and work, and save your money. Until then look into a bicycle!!!

Have someone who knows what they are doing look at your car. A correctly rebuilt engine should not smoke. Check at scrapyards for some of the parts you need!

Get rid of that junk to start with and if you have no money for another vehicle then take the bus.
