Sage ,taupe,dark reds are all I have been doing for the last 2years. I'm a professional painter with26 years of seeing some of the worst trendy colors come and go.Sage works well so very often and has always been in use but more so now.

When it all comes down to it - all that matters is if you like it. Going by decorators, the autumn colors are in. We're seeing a lot of chocolate browns being accented by teals. The more neutral things are paint wise the better you can pop your accessories.

i also am apainting contractor of 20 years and most of the homes i work in are luxury homes and the colors are decided by designers, here is what is popular in the midwest ...sage,olive or kahki shades of green, various shades of browns are very popular as colors like latte or mocha sand browns etc, for dining rooms the deep reds never die in popularity,along with the deep greens, starting to make a comeback are light yellows,all that being said I tell people to go with what the personally like and goes best swith their style and architecture.

ice pink,blurry, light mauve all the cool colors with lots
of chrome accents and black stained oak furniture. Burgundy
as an accent color All the opposites to the hot sante fe colours
we have now.

better homes and gardens say that neutrals are in ...off whites....whites...creams....light beige...for paint..then accent with reds/blacks....or aqua/sage...etc.
