most teens are not ready to date until they are 16 and up, society pressures us into thinking that if we are 12 and don't date we are losers! Before 16 there are lots of things that are better for you than dating, like finding out who you are and deciding what you want in a future mate. Mormons don't encourage dating outside of their religion, so waiting until 16 is usually not a big deal, since everyone you will probably date will be waiting too.

Eh - its just what the religions prohibits,

You know , most religions have something in place that is similar to that.

I know personally I wouldn't let my children date until 16 either, not a real date anyhow.

Wait till you have kids you'll understand better then.

Aren't they called Mormons? I don't think they are called Mormonds. And I don't know, they CAN but they just arent ALLOWED to. There IS a difference you know.
