i just got my braces tightened
AND IT HURTS SOOOOOOOO BAD!
LIKE, COMMITING SUICIDE BAD.
im sure some of u have had/have braces. is there anyway to stop it from hurting.... other than taking aspirin and such??
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

depending on the type of brackets and wires you have cold things will loosen some types of braces. Hot things will tighten. just remember that if they dont hurt they are not working. Sorry

Not much advice besides taking advil,except think how great of a smile u will have when u are older! Stop and think of the older people u know who have nasty teeth it is a big appearance issue and people with crooked teeth don't like to smile.Feel lucky you can afford braces and sometimes it hurts to look good!-angieRDA

Take some Motrin,
I'm sorry. I had them years ago. You just have to deal with it.
But, with the mouth aspirin does nothing. It doesn't work on that kind of pain.
Ibuprohen is good. Motrin works.

I was told you take a warm towel (like washcloth) and put it over your mouth..and just lie down and be still...its going to hurt..but that should make it somewhat a little better

stagger ibuprofen with acetaminophen (alternate doses). The pain will go away in a couple days.

Clove oils will helpnumb the pain.

Well, im not 100% sure about what to do, but, mabey if you drink ice water (lots of ice in it) and swoosh it around in youre mouth. if that dosent work, try warm (not hot) water and swosh it around one of thouse might work.

to me your just a baby because i had them too but i think if you ate soup and flossed it mite help.
