It doesn't make any sense to say that America is younger than Europe, that is why we are more religious (as one poster contended). Americans, for the most part, are just displaced Europeans.

The extremely religious folk had enough faith to jump on tiny leaky boats and sail across the ocean to eak out an uncertain future in the wilderness. Those with less faith didn't think that pursing religious freedom was worth risking their lives (because they had little religion to begin with, so why fight for a freedom that you rarely use?).

Europe was drained of its religious people as all of the really religious folk left the old world to pursue religious freedom in an unsettled & wild country far, far away from the kings of Europe and their state imposed beliefs. At least, that is my opinion.

Europeans are religious, the difference is they worship other gods. Sadly Europeans have allowed the Muslims to invade their country, to the point that Muslims out number true Europeans. Muslims are not Christians, in facts they hate Christians so much so that they have murdered the Christian in cold blood for the world to see. The U.S. is being invaded even as I write this post. The same thing that happened to the Europeans will happen to the U.S. if they are not careful, thus when the invasion is complete. There will be a great decline in Christians in the U.S...

When Europe was experiencing the 'enlightenment' America was experiencing revival. Europeans got to intelligent to believe in God. So they kicked him out. They stopped believing in the Bible, and church attendance began to drop. Now the only people in Europe that worship anything are the Muslims. Look around. Europe is a Muslim land.
There are more people in a church on Sunday morning in the state of Alabama than in all of Northern Europe. The archbishop of Canterbury stated, as a result of a study done about 8 years ago, that there would be no one in church in England in 60 years. He was speaking of Christians and not Muslims.

Europeans know better. Look at this posts , so much hate spread from some religious believers ,thinking they they know it all.
And it is not truth that Europe is invaded by people believing in Allah or whatever , they just use their brain better and chose no religion.
America needs a Renaissance becasue too many people with their religion intollerance are stuck in the Middle Age here.

The average intelligence of Americans would also reflect that. Most of the time it's because people are brought up in a religious family, and we have highly religious laws, and a government made up of religious fanatics.

But in the end, it comes back down to that intelligence quotient. After all, we elected George W. Bush to be president.

Twice.

I've never even been to Europe. I wouldn't know but if I lived there six months of the year, I should have an idea.

I lived in Germany a total of 6 yrs - I think they are just as spiritual as we are, they just don't 'show it off' so to speak. They go to services for the service, not to be seen there.

America was founded on religious beliefs and it isn't as old as Europe but give it more time and it will go straight to hell right along with Europe

They've been around much longer (Europeans have) and are therefore wiser. America is still a very young nation.
