In other words, do you worry more about whether YOU are living a good life, or are you obsessed with pointing out the sins of others and judging people?

Don't you think the world would be a better place if people would pay a little more attention to their own actions rather than trying to attack, judge, and marginalize people (e.g., homosexuals, muslims, immigrants, liberals) that they don't approve of?

Will modern politico-christianity ever return to the actual message of christ?

I do not worry about mine or others!

If I had to choose one, I'd say I'm more concerned with making sure I live a moral, useful, personally fulfilling life than whether others are doing the same, but I also won't allow others to infringe on my rights or the rights of my friends and neighbors. I'm not afraid to stand against injustice.

And, yes, I think the world would be a better place if people would stop attacking others for choices that don't actually harm anyone.

Rabid: Actually, maybe people turn from Christ (or never turn to Christ in the first place) because they JUST DON'T FSCKING BELIEVE HE'S THE FSCKING SON OF GOD. e.e

Goddamn! It's like you need to delude yourself into thinking that everyone is NATURALLY Christian and that every non-Christian has some "reason" to "turn" from "Christ". How do you explain people before Jesus lived then, eh? I worship Gods that pre-date Christianity, and you know why?

Because.

I.

Want.

To.

It has nothing to do with Christ or anything Christian at all.

Chaz w: Great, yeah. Lump homosexuals in with people who send anthrax letters. Asshole. Homosexuality has nothing to do with terrorism, and it has never hurt anyone ever. That's right. You can't "catch the gay" from somebody, and living next to a homosexual man isn't going to give you fscking cancer.

And I frankly doubt you have any terrorists in your neighborhood. Idiot.

Im more concerned with my own sins, but I do care If I see a brother failing and I try to help him get on track, that is also my duty,I feel as a Christian.I hope the only message I ever send is that of Christ.

Actually, I AM more concerned about my own sins. I'm reminded everyday that I'm a terrible person, if I just followed my own whims.

you are absolutely right about the world being a better place. The reason people turn from christ as you have said, is because it would require them to judge themselves first...that's not easy to do.

A true child of Christ worries of his own sins but also worries about others. Not to judge them but to pray for those who don't see or realize that they are sinning and so that they see the error of their ways.

It's a big enough job looking after myself never mind the what other people are getting themselves into.

No they won't get back to the actual message because it has changed - it is more of a clique than a congregation.

hmm. well.. i worry about how i act, and try to make the world a good environment for the people around me. i try to help other people do well too, but dont point things out unless absolutley necessary.
yes, i do think it would be a better place rather than attacking, judging people (etc) but sometimes we need to show people to make sure the world will be better
for example, telling our friends to throw away their trash instead of littering.

I'm concerned with the sin that makes concerned about other people's sin, and instead of trying to help them I keep being concerned.

I have committed almost every sin so it is hard to point people out but I try it just never really sticks because they can always turn it around on me.

I'm sinless. It's fun pointing out the sins of others.
