I know that you are supposed to fill out your application or online application for FAFSA as soon as possible after Jan. 1 for fall freshman college students. Will they post the new application in 2006, or do you have to wait until after Jan. 2007?

If you are attending college in fall of 2007 then you must file the 2007-2008 FAFSA. This application will be available on January 1st, 2007 at 12:01 AM. This application requires 2006 tax information. You want to get the application in ASAP, so estimate tax information and later do corrections on the application.

It did not come out until after Jan. 06 this past year, so I would imagine the 07-08 FAFSA won't be out until sometime this upcoming January
