I am wanting to adopt one that had a broken ankle and they inserted a metal plate and she is in a cast and i was just curious.

I believe six weeks at the most. And good for you for wanting to adopt the dog. Alot of people wouldn't want it for the reason of just having a cast. Good Luck to you and your dog.

The poor thing.. count on a minimum of six weeks.. the younger, the faster it heals

It depends how hurt the injury is. Ask the person you are buting the puppy from.
