i think it's just as important to be 'emotionally' ready as it is to be physically ready for a baby. it's very draining on the body and your emotions. it's equally important that your partner is ready too as they will be a lot more supportive and will really enjoy the experience of fatherhood. i personally don't think there is an age limit on when you should decide to have a child, nor do i think you should stop having kids at a certain age(not including teenagers or those past menopause) ideally, you should be financially secure and maybe in your own home, but a lot of people aren't and it certainly doesn't lessen their ability to be good parents.

From what standpoint?

For women, their bodies are probably most "ready" in their early 20s. For men probably later because they've had time to develop a career.

Anecdotally I've heard that in your 20s you're better able to keep up with children. In your 30s and 40s it's a bit harder. Education often delays having a child until later for most people now.

When you feel you are both ready and have the finances to help as well. This is a life changing event, so make sure you think this out. There is no certain age or time, just readiness.

when you feel you are truly ready to handle the responsibility of caring for someone else. for some people its early twenties and for others it can be never, age wont determine it, it will be when you feel you are ready and can look after another person and not let them down at the first hurdle, because at the end of the day you cant put them back.

27 - 29. In my humble opinion, by then you have matured enough and you will still be young enough to enjoy any grandchildren that come along, which will be really joyful.
