Actually, that's likely the way the earth will end up with the global warming problems, but that's another story. The rainbow is God's way of saying: "Okay, gay folks, here's your flag."

No, in Genesis, Noah and the Ark, God sent a rainbow to Noah as a promise to Noah that He would never destroy the things on earth with a flood again. The rainbow is a sign of the Promise of God that He found another way to save humanity through His Son Jesus Christ. The rainbow is beautiful.....

The rainbow was a sign from God saying He would never flood the Earth again, like He did with Noah. It is a sign from God. Not terrifying at all.

The rainbow was a promise from God to Noah that God would not destroy the Earth again with water. The rainbow you and I enjoy is the refraction of water in the air. The water acts like a prism. It is nice to think happy thoughts when you see the rainbow but don't over emphasize it's importance in your day to day life.

A rainbow is a promise from God that He will never destroy the earth with a flood again (the whole world that is). The next time God destroys the earth it will be with fire.

It is God's way of promising the people on earth today that he will never again flood the earth as he did in Noah's time.

The rainbow is a sign of GOD's promise. It's a sign the he will return, so you should see it as covering over the earth not frowning.

No its not. According to the Bible God made rainbows to seal the promise he made to never again bring humanity to the brink of extinction. I'm guessing that Christians and Jews believe that whenever there's a rainbow, it's there to remind God of the promise he made. That's just a religious view. Scientifically, it's different.

as long as the rainbow is there God will not destroy the earth with flood, what you have to worry about is when you no longer see the rainbow. That's when the trouble starts
