I drink alot and therefore spend alot of time hungover!

How in the name of the LORD does one prevent such terrible hangovers? Not drinking is simply not an option!

Also, I seem to eat so much when I'm hungover that I eventually become paralysed! It's not a problem because I'm not fat ... but how do people NOT overeat when hungover?

This is a fairly messy question, I know ... any answers?

Hangovers can be avoided if you drink an adequate amount of water while you're drinking alcohol. For every alcholic drink you have (I mean a normal beer, glass of wine or mixed drink, not a monster sized portion) you need to drink 8 oz of water. If you wake up during the night, drink more water. Also take a B-complex vitamin before drinking and first thing the morning after. You'll find be adequately hydrated will cut some of that hunger, too.

Drink at least 2 or 3 glasses of water before you go to sleep, after you've already drank. I do it all the time, it works for me. The reason you have a hangover is because you are dehydrated, and drinking water will relieve any future symptoms of a hangover, as long as you drink the right amount.

Hope this helps!
Cheers!

Guy, I drink alot and NEVER get a hangover. The golden rule is eat a filling meal before you start drinking. Also, stay hydrated. A hangover is the result of de-hydration. Also, it doesn't hurt to take an aspirin with a glass of milk before you go to bed. (If you can remember to do so)

take a pain reliever (not a pain killer) before you start, after youre done take another pain reliever drink some water a glass or two full then have something to eat that has protein like half a peanut butter sandwich or maybe a few slices of deli meat if you can stomache it... some people are just prone to severe hangovers, mother always taught me to nurse my first and last drinks her other tips listed above seem to help too

Like most people have said make sure you drink lots of water. After every drink I have I make sure to drink some water. Then a drink, then water. It seems to work.

hangovers are in part caused by dehydration. so drink lots of water. you might want to sleep with a diaper on as things might get wet.

Only cure is to curtail or stop drinking but as u say this isn't an option, my answer would be "put up or shut up"
