science class. or listen to me. when the moon is getting bigger it is waxing when it is getting smaller it is waning. there are cresent, quarter, half, three quarter, and full. a new moon is the first full moon of the month. a blue moon is the second full moon of the month. some people think the moon cycles effect hunting especially deer. I disagree. It just gives more light to see by at night so you see more in my opinion. It cannot be scientifically proven in animals to my knowledge. Give it a try and keep a booklet of what you see each day wiether you are hunting or just driving. run a tab at the side of what the moon looked like that night also. Find out for yourself!

Go here and download Desktop and Toolbar Calendars (Lunar Calendars) that sit out of the way until you want to see what phase the moon is in, then click on it, and it will show you and give you the name of the nearest full moon. Good luck!
