it was one package of orbit gum. i read on the internet that xylitol can make dogs sick, and that was in this gum. it says you may want to take pet the the veterinarian, and i told my dad about this, but he just says that she has eaten gum before and never had a problem. What should i do? Go to http://www.avma.org/press/releases/061001_xylitol.asp

Not a big deal. Dogs are exposed to many more pollutants through various other things they come into contact every day. Ever let a dog chew on a water bottle, lick the road, eat Trash?! Point is, it's not a big deal unless your dog is reacting strangely after eating it. If it makes you feel better, call the Vet., they will probably get a chuckle out of it anyways.

its fine, trust me my minature chichuwawa ate an entire pack of a jumbo size juicy fruit with 20 pieces in it and she was fine, it might not have been that good for her but shes fine, and she weighs 6 or 7 pounds, so dont worry about it, and dont listen to that person who said to lkill her because shes going to die anyway, she is wrong and only trying to be mean and scare you, amnd i never took my little onr to the vet anyway, also when she was really little like 6 months of something she ate a shirt of of a bratz doll, we were freaking out but it was so funny! She threw it up about a week or so later, though it was a different color and total trash, so chill out , you little doggie will be fine!

If your dog has a drop in blood sugar,(resulting in depression) loss of coordination and\or seizures I would definitely take her to the vet.

you ought to take him to the vet. i had heard that dogs's are not assume to devour gum (which feels like easy sense, yet apparently it would want to truly screw up their digestive gadget). i might want to say if he remains eating then he's probable ok, yet in case you wanna be on the secure area i might want to take him to the vet.

I would call the vet! They will know for sure!
Is your dog acting sick or throwing up? If he is, take it to the vet!
Good Luck!

Uh oh! Bring your dog to the vet your self! your dog can die if you don't. Take responsibility in your dog.

it will live. if mine can eat a turd, drink out of the toilet and put his nose up the cat's hind end and live gum should be no problem. at least his breath won't be as gamey as my dog's breath.

have the dog euthanized. he will most likely die from ingesting the gum anyway.
