California doesn't presently have such a law. Oregon does, and individual communities within California might, but as yet it's not a state mandate. Washington just passed one that says you can't smoke within 25 feet of any door, window, or vent. People are having to stand in the middle of the street to smoke.

Government building too. some people will smoke right there by the door. and people like me who recently quit have to walk through it. Don't be surprised when we come back and ask you for a smoke.

30 feet. NO ONE OBEYS THIS LAW!!! (damn it).
