well ignoring the earlier examples of Christians (Spanish inquisition, crusades, The Early Roman catholic church, Constantine, witch burnings etc.... i would say that it really doesn't matter what religion you are, as long as you have good morals. Well unless you worship Satan. I'm agnostic and i would save anyone, even George w bush. :-x

i want to be a cop

Their personal beliefs do not matter to me, how would I know what they believed unless they were wearing symbols like the Jews used to in Germany during the World War?

Yes, I would. With a squadmate, religion wouldn't matter to me. Frankly, it wouldn't matter at any point in time in my life, but for the sake of your question, if they were a squadmate or ally, you bet I'd go back for them. Every soldier's life is precious as all life is precious. I'd go back for a Christian squadmate, even if they may not go back for me were the situation reversed.

Belief would have nothing to do with it. The question, is the guy a stranger or a member of my squad. And how hot is the fire.

If I thought there was any chance I could rescue him I would, regardless of his beliefs.

Why is this a matter for bigotry? What if he was black? What if he was white? What if he was straight? What if he was gay? What if he wore Nike. What if he wore Converse?

It doesn't matter one bit. I'd go back for anyone.

Why does it have to be about faith or lack of faith? Why can't it just be about saving a fellow human being?
