do girls think that it is definitely an obvious thing for a guy to ask a girl out instead of the other way around?

I don't think that there are too many old fashioned girls out there left in this world. But girls like it when the guy asks first....but if he never asks...then they think he doesn't like her.
Some girls are very outgoing and don't mind asking first. So as far as obvious thing.....yeah, most of the time. Depending on the kind of girl it is....shy or outgoing. And some parents have taught their daughters to never call a boy or ask him out. Good luck

More women nowadays will ask a guy out, or engineer the conversation so that it is incredibly easy for the guy to make the offer. But most women still prefer that the guy do the asking. It's very difficult to figure out what a guy's intentions are and how interested he is... but actions speak louder than words, so if he asks her out, she will be confident about his interest in her.
I think it's still the social norm in most parts of the U.S. for the guy to do the asking, and the paying, for the date.

Yes, it is generally accepted in American society that a guy asks a girl out first. Women are definitely free to ask a guy out, but the "social norm" is that a man asks out the woman.

yes but some girls do go up 2 the guy and ask him but thats like 5% the rest r usually the other way around

i understand totallly and yes, usually they do. It is commenly known to society that the guy ask the girl, so the girl just expects it. I know, it's a crazy thinhg for someone to expect, but it's true, trust me, i have experiance. So yes, is the answer to your question, girls do expect the guys to ask them out because, the are shy or they don't know if the guy likes them.

I think that a guy should ask a girl out...not a girl ask a guy out.
It's not romantic and most chances are that the guy really doesn't like the girl.
If that's what your asking of me..that's what I believe!

well, according to some kind of survey, 89% of guys would prefer that the girl makes the first move and well traditionally the guy would make the first move. the girl usually plays the role of the one who sits and dreams and waits for the guy to ask them out then when they do, they dream even more and start getting giggly and squealy on the thought of him... (yea im a girl and im not like that, but i WOULD wait on the guy to make the first move...)

not anymore i spent 4 months waiting on my husband to ask but in the end i just grabbed him kissed him and said straight out tomorrow at 8 and don't be late. were now married and have a son. if i waited for him we'd probably still playing mind games.

well it depend on what kind of person u r and where u r from or what your personality is a guy usuallu asks me a out but once i have asked a guy out and he was my bf for like 6 moths ansd i live in illinois

ya common way, but some girls have enough confidence to ask the guy, but me personally would wait on the guy to ask
