I find it too be the opposite...think of how many times you have failed at starting ones compared to how many times you have failed at sustaining one...see what I mean?

Because relationships are hard work. They take a great deal of effort, on both people's part, to make it work. When both people are committed to making it work, the faithfullness, honesty and loyalty become a natural part of the relationship. Long lasting couples perform this hard work through a foundation of communication and trust. Without that foundation, the relationship will not work for long. So when you are ready to make the relationship you're in work, you need to be sure that you have that foundation in place. After that, you have to keep working at it.
I hope this answers your question fully.

Men and women are by nature different. Women want to nurture and be provided for. Men want to provide and be told they are doing well and what is right. They come into problems becuase we communicate in different ways as well. Men are more analytical and women are more emotional. Men are black and women have more of gray area. Note that these aren't always true there are always exceptions to the rule but this why we tend to run into so many problems. It is very difficult to find someone who you connect to enough to even try to date and even more rare to try to keep it going. The failure rate is high because at each level of a relationship the margins get smaller and smaller. from the time you meet until you get married the failure rate is higher and higher.

Because people go into relationships pretending to be who the other person wants them to be. Then as they get comfortable in the relationship, they start to behave more naturally. That's when it falls apart.
It is hard to do, but best to start off the relationship without faking.
