I don't remember now what it was called, specifically, but it seemed like Bed Head was a good brand for gel... someone I know used it and it basically made their hair crunchy and stay in place.

Why would you use gelatin? Most people just use gel, available at virtually any grocery store, mass market store (K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart), or beauty supply store.

The kind that you get depends on the amount of hold that you want, the style and type of your hair, and the amount you want to spend. Go to the store and read a few labels and try one that you think might work. Good luck to you.

Try VO5, its advertised on the TV again. Used to use it back in the 60's. Should be at any grocery or drug store.
