best budget thing look for an nice park around the city,better if it has a nice view. Then make yummi sandwishes,buy a bottle of wine and a nice yummy small cake. Then take him there eat luch, put a candle on the piece of cake and sing him a sexy b-dayn song.. then with the leftover money but a playful thong and tell him that the rest of his gift is back home and be his genie all night long....Then if you're really broke...suprise him in his apartment with nothing on but a ribbon on your neck a smile and a nice bottle of wine with snacks and be ready do give him his best brithday ever!!!!! Extra points if you dim the lights, add candles and incense...goodluck it always works trust me...

what about a collage of photos of all the important things to him over his past 30 years, or ones of him from birth to his 30th? a romantic meal at home, either home cooked or take away, then retire for some passion for dessert?

Take him to dinner and a movie. Or just have a home cooked meal and rent a movie at home, with candle light dinner at home.

if you have snow where you live i suggest cooking at home, and if you live where there is no snow then take him out to dinner, at a low cost place. make him a hand made card also
