Don't know what site you play on or how much you want to play for but I have a few ideas for you.

www.ultimatebet.com will host private tourneys just send an email to customer support for more info on setting up a private tournament.

As far as league rules go:

Set up a season of 6 to 10 weeks or even 3 months.

Have a small league fee like $5 or $10. If someone has a few bucks invested they will be more likely to stick around for the whole season.

Then have a points system.

1 point for playing in the weekly tournament.
1 point for finishing in the money.
and 1 scoring point (SP) for every player you have outlasted.

If there is 30 players in the tourney the first one out dosen't get any SPs. 10th place would get 20 SPs for outlasting 20 players. The winner would get 29 SPs.

A system like this is self adjusts for a changing # of players and rewards consistancy. And it easy to figure out the scoring after the tourney by looking at the tourney lobby.

You could also add bonus points like 1 point for each knockout or place a 3 point bounty on the previous weeks winner. But that would real time score keeping.

Good luck
