Just like Christianity, it is labeled, and stereotyped by the mainstream culture, and media; I understand this because I have nothing against Mormans, while I am a Christian.
You can't stop this because certain people will not listen or stop blindly labeling; Only you can!

I don't hate them at all, but I do disagree with them for the most part. But I would think the answer to your question would be that Warren Jeffs truly has put a stigma on the church. Even tho I recently read that The Church of Latter Day Saints had disclaimed them, and that particular cult broke off into it's own society. If u think about it actually, in the bible quite a few gentlemen had a few wives. And don't forget how a few of the wives said go in unto my maids to bare children for me. So polygamy wasn't actually wrong when the world was in it's first stages. So it's all very....contraversial.:o]

What's a Morman? I know plenty of Mormons. Actually I am one. I don't have a tail or horns. My husband only has one wife (that would be me). We don't run around naked in our temples. We only have two kids, not eight. Our prophet is the most kind and sincere person I know. Jospeh Smith was not an evil doer, just a man who shared and gave all he had. And, most importantly we believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to be our Savior.

you really should clarify your questioning a bit. You are grouping the entire human race in your questioning.
Oh. . and what are Mormans?
Cuz I might hate them.
Mormons however are ok in my book.

I'm glad the ones you know are good examples.
I think people just have a lot of misconceptions about us (I'm sure you'll see a handful in response to this BTW) they get pretty far out there.
And I'm very glad for the rest of you who have answered who are not Mormon, but understand that it's wrong to hate. You all make the world a better place - thanks :)

I don't believe it's hate, it's another religion like Jehovah's witnesses who has wrote their own bible and try to win converts, They both are listed as cults and Jehovah's Witnesses is the most dangerous cult listed in the book on cults.

I don't. My adopted brother is Mormon. His family is from Utah, he is a straight up Mormon, and I love him dearly. If anyone told me that Mormons were bad or anything else, I probably would hurt them. I love my brother and his sister, and I am afraid that I would take offense to someone against Mormons, not someone for them.

Just the fact Mormons vote straight Republican is reason enough not to trust them, if not hate them outright. They are a cult (as all religion is) and has to be marginalized.
