Every quarter (9 weeks) my school has a dance. It is for everyone in my school except for 5th grade. Well, the guy I like is in 7th grade and I'm in 8th grade. And when a slow song came on my friends went up tp him and asked him to dance with me, but every time he said no. Why did he do that? Because during the dance (even before they asked him) he was looking at me, and when we pass in the hall he is looking at me. But, we've never talked. Does he just not like me, or what?

maybe he was nervous to dance with you, i'm not sure. just don't just make the assumption right away that he doesn't like you. step into his shoes to try and learn things from his perspective.

I don't why a guy would say NO if he did like you. So I'm saying he isn't interested. (shyness isn't an excuse. That would apply if he didn't ask you to dance, but you made the first move and he said NO, so shyness isn't it). Don't read too much into him looking at you in the hall either. Most people can tell when someone is looking at them and then they look to see who's looking and eye contact is made giving you the impression that he was looking at you. Sounds like you probably need to find another potential dancer partner.

1. First posibility, the problem here could be your friends... They're asking, not you, or even if you're asking, all your friends probably stand on the side looking and giggling... cause that's what teenage girls do... so he's shy and scare, thinking maybe you guys are messing with him...
2. Other option, he doesn't like you, he only look at you because he thinks omg, there's that chick that obsessed with me...
Either way, started talking to him (without your friends) first & get to know him, be friends, whatever & not just ask the guy to dance randomly like that...

why dont you ask him yourself? Whats with getting your friends to ask for you? Anyways, hes just rude. My mom always taught me to say yes when someone ask me to dance (unless of course theres a HUGE bad reason then Say no) but normally say yes, even if the guy is fat or ugly or whatever. It takes a lot of courage to ask someone to dance....and besides- its a dance, you can give this person 3 minutes outta your life....not like youre saying yes to marriage or yes to bearing their children. So I say you should ask him yourself, if he says no, then hes just rude and move on.

Maybe he's interested in you but wants a girl HIS age...I dont know...
or maybe he likes you but is afraid that by dancing one song with you...he mayb stuck in a relationship he's not ready for?!
I'm not really positive about this situation. Sorta unclear...

He's probably just really shy, and probably doesn't know how to dance! Just start saying hi to him when you see him and if he smiles back at you, then he likes you.

Maybe he didn't like your friends asking him for you. Or maybe he's an old fashion kid and wants to ask you himself. Or maybe he just doesn't like you and the looks are supposed to be mean.

Your probably suffering from Extreme clinical obesity, and he is staring at you beacuse of that, and wont dance with you because of that as well.

he may not know how to dance and is scared ....or he may not like you ...either way, you need to step back.. ...let him be the aggressor if he likes you.. ...dont push it.. ...think of something else and if he really likes you, he wil make the move.
