Pumpkin, as long as he (or she) doesn't start wars and ruin the environment, I'll be okay with it.

Yes as I would also vote for anyone else if I liked what they stood for. What does their religious beliefs have to do with anything. That's like saying I wouldn't vote for her because she's Spanish. Politics's has nothing to do with color of skin or personal beliefs. If this person was going to help out the community then they got my vote!

I would have to see his or her platform. I wouldn't vote yes or no based solely on the fact that they were an atheist.
Now if he or she kept saying over and over that Christians are brainwashed, misguided souls that should be pitied or that the world would be a better place without them then I would probably vote no.

I would vote for the man or woman who's thoughts and ideas appeared to be the most aligned with mine. Religion or lack there of, would not be a factor for me.

I might. There are a lot of different things I would need to consider, not just his professed belief in God. And if his past record of behaviour showed me that he would give good government as I understand it, then yes, I would vote for him.

It would depend. If they supported the things I believe in (gun control, etc.), then yes, I would vote for them. However, I would not vote for them if they were to support abortion, or things I am against. I'm not voting for or against them based on their (lack of) belief, but for their policies.

I vote for the person, not the religion. I do favor liberals though.

I will not ever vote but if I did, religion would not be a factor

If they're opinions on the important issues were similar to mine, I don't care whether they're religious or not. As long as they have nothing against people who are religious, it's fine.

If he/she has the best ideas, then yes. Otherwise, maybe not. I always will vote for those who have the best ideas.
